Custom Finishes
Hand Hewn
Hand hewn uses a scalloping technique to produce a rustic finished look. This process is done all by hand to avoid any repetition in pattern making each piece unique.
Distressed
Distressed is a custom hand worked finish that is used to create the look of an old barn piece. Distressing creates the illusion of a timber weathered and beaten over time by the natural elements without affecting the structural durability of the piece.
Raised Grain
Raised grain looks like a piece of lumber that has been sand blasted. The soft grains in the timber are removed to create a more dramatic and deepen appearance of the heavier grain.
Wire Brushed
Wired brushing is usually used as an added finish on the other customized textures. It gives the piece a rough feel and finish by removing some of the soft grain from the surface.
We are not limited to only these finishes. Our employees are experts and take pride in matching any desired texture or finish our customer is looking for. Past projects have included custom matching textures needed for historial building restorations.
