• Raised grain – Looks like a sand blasted product. The soft grain in the timber is removed to create a more dramatic appearance of the heavy grain.
  • Hand hewn – A rustic look that gives the timber a “scalloped” look. This process is done all by hand to avoid any repetition in pattern.
  • Distressed  – A custom hand worked finish that is used to create the look of an old barn. Distressing creates the illusion of a timber weathered and beaten by the natural elements without affecting the structural durability of the piece.
  • Wire brushed – Wire brushing is usually used as an added texture to our other customized finishes. It gives the piece a rough feel by removing some of the surface soft grain.

* Huff Lumber is not limited to only these finishes. Our employees are experts and take pride in matching any desired texture or finish a customer is looking for.
